I knew it would happen eventually...

So, my little meatloaf has her first case of diaper rash :( As my mom, Grandma Rue, would say, "she has a rash on her Va-g-g". I laughed when she said this to me and she replied with, "why are you laughing? Isn't that how Smithy says it?"
I guess I should be glad that she has gone this long with out a rash, but it is still sad. Although, I must say, it doesn't seem to be bugging her all that much. She is acting like the same up beat happy baby we all know and adore.
My plan as of now is to give her as much naked time as possible, but if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can speed up the healing process, let me know.

Playing with the Flip Video...

This is a few months old, but a good watch.
Really I just wanted to test out the Flip and see how I go about posting video - I guess I figured it out.

Cousin lovin'

Introducing Ewan Tanis Ruehr, Olivia's cousin. I like to call him Ewan McRuehr. It's got a nice ring to it. Ewan arrived in the Mitten just over a week ago and I am pumped that he and his Mom, Rachel are here!
The babes had a great time at the bean, I am pretty sure that we have a new baby for Baby Bean Saturdays. After breakfast we took a little stroll down to the fountain where they so lovingly posed for this picture :) Ok, maybe Billy and I posed them for the picture...

Olivia had a great week-end, we had lots of Ewan time on Saturday and then on Sunday Eric and I took her out to breakfast and then stumbled upon a cute art fair out near the Commerce Area. I found a truely fantastic rocking horse that I would LOVE to buy for Olivia. Now we just need room to fit a rocking horse, no way that it would fit in our apartment with all of Olivia's things here already! We'll have to work on that.

Just some favorites

I just wanted to put some more pictures up of Olivia - here are some of my favorites. Of course I can say that all of her pictures are my favorite so that is not really saying much. I think the youngest she is in this set is 3 months (blanket picture) and the oldest is 6 months (the photo of her eating the flower). I should add a thank you to Jenni for taking Olivia's milestone pictures - Jenni took the picture of Olivia eating the flower and MANY others, but I don't want to drown this page with pictures....well maybe I do, but I wont.

Also, now that I know that I CAN post video, I will start putting that Flip Video that Eric bought to good use and start taking and uploading some good stuff.

And as for an update, this morning Eric thought that he felt another tooth coming in :) Liv wouldn't let me check it out. Apparently she can stuff her whole hand in her mouth but I am not allowed to put one finger in there to feel out some teeth. What are you gonna do?

Let's get up to Speed

At this point, my little meatloaf is 8 months old. She is not crawling yet, but she does have her first tooth coming in! She also claps her hands, and she will wave to you, sometimes.
She has been to the Detroit Zoo - her favorites were the Polar Bears and the Penguins - and she loves "Pancake Saturday's" at the Bean. She really is the happiest baby. People are always asking Eric and I if she ever cries, she does, once in a while, but she really loves being out and about with a lot of people, where she can get the most attention possible.

She also LOVES music. Weather it is the radio, Eric playing the Harmonica, or Vickie playing the guitar, she is 100% interested! She will stare at Eric or Vickie as long as they are playing, and then she will want to inspect the instruments. In the car she will tap her feet and sway to the music (she has rhythem already I swear). Recently Olivia has been known to rock out to Guns N Roses.

I will try to get some more pictures up, and more stories will be coming soon. Maybe some video too! Can you put a video on a blog? I guess I will find out as I go.
