Well I am happy to say that Olivia's Army Crawl is improving! She is pretty fast, I will have to get another video up soon so you all can see. She does crawl "normal" as well, and she is getting better at that too, but it is obvious that she prefers the military style. Grandma Rue calls her GI-O.
Miss Olivia was having trouble sleeping for a minute there as well, but that has gotten better. For a few nights there she would wake up 2 or 3 times in the night just screaming, but it seems to have passed and Liv is sleeping through the night again. She still cries a bit before falling asleep, but it is usually a short little spat.
And I must say, one of my favorite things lately is giving her new foods to try. She LOVES some Mac & Cheese, animal crackers, peaches, apples, pretty much everything. I think that the only thing she has turned down thus far is the stage 3 baby lasagna. That did not go over well at all.

Another Busy Week-end
On Saturday Olivia went to go see Jenni to get her 9 month pictures taken. Too see how they turned out, just follow this link: http://picasaweb.google.com/me.ruehr/Olivia?authkey=Gv1sRgCLaqpv-B58jAmQE#
Please note that in certain pictures, you can see BOTH of Livvy's teeth ;)
Sunday, even though it was a scorcher, Eric and I took Olivia to the Toledo Zoo! She had a blast, this time the Aquarium way by far her favorite. I would have taken pictures but I was way to hot to reach into the bag, pull out the camera, and use it.
We had a blast despite the heat. I thought that maybe Olivia would've gotten a little cranky, but she wasn't too cranky at all. Overall she was full of smiles and had a good time, so I like to think. She kept on waving to the animals. It was adorable.
To keep you all update on Olivia's milesotnes, there has been some crawling at Grandma Rue's house, but Eric and I have yet to see the full-on crawl. Liv does "scoot" really well though. She just kind of pulls with her arms and pushes with her legs without taking her belly off the ground. It's really cute! And she is starting to pull herself up to stand more as well. She used to only stand up in her crib, but lately she has been trying to pull her self up using more household items ;) I think maybe we will have a walker soon! Time to baby proof, anyone have any good baby proffing tips? Tell me what I should NOT forget to baby proof :)

Visiting Grandma

We just got home from another trip up north to go visit Eric's mom. Another great week-end and I wish that we didn't have to come home to get back to real life and work and what not. It rained on Saturday so we really didn't get out, just hung around the house and ate...well! Sunday we managed to get a little bike ride in with Noah and Carly, but again, it was mostly hanging out inside and just loving the good company.
The best part of the week-end may well have been learning that Olivia is a rocker! Here is a video of her in the truck on the way up. We were reminiscing with a little Mxpx, kind of giggling that we still could remember the words, and then we glanced back at Olivia to see this...

Vroom Vroom
What a great week-end! Friday was Momma's night out for some "grown up" time. This grown up time was a direct cause of almost not making it up to the bean on Saturday morning for pancakes. We of course made it, just a little bit later than usual, and we didn't have any pancakes...just coffee lots of coffee. Sunday was the most fun - it was a great way to wrap up the week-end.
We started the day driving out to Brooklyn, MI for Eric's stock car driving experience(pics and video coming soon). Olivia and I managed to keep ourselves busy and entertained while Eric had his driving classes and orientation, but I was still relieved when Eric's fans started arriving. Eric did awesome - so did Olivia who woke up at 5:30am and did not take a nap until we left the Speedway at 11:30-ish.

We headed out of the speedway for lunch at a great little "mom and pop" place. Kellas won the "are you going to finish that" award, ordering and eating more food than I can fathom. Olivia woke up not long after we got there, I am sure that is because she never wants to miss a lunch date.
From there; go-karting! We got to drive these go karts that supposedly go up to 35 mph and you are allowed to bump the other racers to spin them out. The boys drove first and there were only about 4 or 5 spin outs. Then the girls went next and despite my many successes at evading Sarah's spin out bumps, she got me in the end! As I was pulling into the home stretch she clipped me, not enough to spin me out, but her mission was fufilled! :)
And Finally, here is the video of Eric at the races, a quick little montage. It starts showing him getting his gear on, the car that he drove, and lastly, him driving around the track. And maybe there is some narration from Olivia ;)
