For Grandma

This rocking chair belonged to Grandma, and was also used by Papa. Now it belongs to Olivia and she LOVES to sit in her chair and watch Sesame Street.

The Proof

Well, I finally sat down and got the walking video together.
Olivia is a lot better at walking already, and the videos are from just a few days ago! In the last two clips you will see that she is REALLY happy and excited and so it is a little hard to keep her balance, but this is it...our little walking girl.

Miss Olivia....a Walking Girl.

Olivia is a walking girl now!

Over the week-end, this whole "walking thing" really started to make some sense....Olivia was crusin' all over the place and even got to show off her skills to her Aunt and Uncles. She still likes to hold on to things/people when they are near or available, but she has started to just stand up and get moving. I think that Eric and I are going to be running after her soon. She is already starting to pick up speed... :) She can even walk in her shoes well, which I was surpised by. Olivia prooved this to me at the bean on Saturday when she kept on trying to walk behind the counter.

Also, this week-end Eric and I took Olivia to see the Christmas lights on Hines. She let out some "ahhs" and some "wows". I think that she kind of liked going to see all the lights. For the most part, it kept her attention.

First step...

Olivia took her first step Monday night. It was just one step, but it was exciting.

She walks really well when she is holding someones hand, but as soon as you let go of her, she assumes the much safer "squatting" position. Which, I am not going to lie, is very adorable. We luckily had some witnesses to the first step and it was awesome to be able to share that moment with Uncle Joshy, Aunt Sarah and Uncle K-Dawg. What happened was, Josh had an empty plastic bottle, and of course, Olivia wanted to play with it - plastic bottles are one of her favorite things. So, we were tossing it around, and it ended up with Eric. I was holding Olivia's hand and she let go of me, took a step, AND THEN grabbed onto Eric. Official FIRST STEP! Woo-Hoo!!

Then later she found it funny to hit people in the head with the bottle, including herself, which was also quite amusing to us.
